Hand Grip Control

The Hand Grip Control is used by the helicopter crew chief to release an external load.  The Hand Grip Control activates the remote cargo hook at the bottom of the Electrical Long Line and causes it to open.  It has an additional pushbutton switch that provides the option to change the primary activating position (for example, for right-handed operation instead of left-handed operation as illustrated).  The extra switch could be also be used to control another device.  Each switch is mounted in a recessed cup to help prevent an inadvertent release.
